what about shogi, the best chess

seriously, when you capture a piece you can put it down as it it's yours instead of making a move, castling involves constructing a castle and moving your king into it, endgame is exciting mating nets and dropping pieces instead of small amounts of pieces in rote sequences

To learn about shogi I'd suggest HIDETCHI's YouTube videos, he explains things pretty well and I think there's some intro videos to go with the in depth openings

Xiangqi (Chinese chess) I barely know how to play, I want to learn more

There's some online places to play shogi, but I haven't really tried them much
