I've been attempting daily drawing for the month of april and while i've made it every day so far it has mostly devolved into music video screen shot studies.

When you do this as a hobby you can just stop working on something when you get tired of looking at it there are literally no rules

One of my New Years Resolutions is to try and do art more consistently - the goal is daily but that's obviously not going to happen so I'm trying to settle for at least a few times a week instead of going months without plugging my tablet in.

oh i love the lighting on this one! (and all the others, you're amazing with light)

thanks, i used to be scared of going too intense with lighting, but now it's like, i've realized that game developers in the 360 era were on to something with all the bloom

Accountability post #3.

Learned about clipping masks. Very useful. Trying to figure out Affinity Photo versus Designer. Not sure what digital drawing program I should be using (stylus, windows).

Krita (https://krita.org/) is free and is specifically illustration software, so you might try that.

One of my first attempts at the Loomis method- I liked it! It was somewhat intuitive. Still not feeling super on point with shading etc. Especially on the mushrooms. It's easier with a floating eyeball and single shadow

Actually started drawabox today too, in earnest.

Also should I be hiding these behind spoilers? I know I'm not pushing the envelope by any means but I also know not everybody wants to see gross stuff

i can only speak for myself but it seems fine

I like this, he looks a bit like the old guy from bullet train, hiroyuki sanada

i just grabbed the reference image from pinterest, but it appears that it is indeed a screencap of him from westworld, so i guess it's cool i managed to make him look kind of recognizable
