Smiling Jack posted:as a filthy civilian I can say GiP is very welcoming, on the flip side one of the reasons the CE thread don't suck is because it runs under the radar It's also the only CE thread that's slow enough that I can follow it, which I appreciate a lot. Sure, there are cop and gun chat derails, but I can just ignore those (not being American helps). This is generally a chill and politically sane thread, it's usually fun to read.

Wh... what is this monstrosity??  Natural earthquakes have a different seismographic profile than nuke-caused quakes. If USGS says it was a natural earthquake, there's no reason to go all conspiracy theorist and speculate that Iran used the distraction of the missile strikes to secretly test a nuke.
