If they don't give Custer that seat he would have gone somewhere else most likely. IMO they should have given him Bowyer's ride but people like Clint and he's good on TV so I can see reasons for keeping him around.

There are only a few teams that are really competitive, people want drivers they like in better equipment. Daniel Suarez was in top tier equipment and he'll probably end up in a backmarker car this year if he has a ride at all.
