January is upon us, and with that, comes another volume in Rowdy Ringsports' best wrestling moves series. this month, we are discussing a move that is near and dear to my heart, the eye poke.

quote:

Also called a thumb to the eye. When a wrestler pokes his thumb or finger(s) into an opponent's eye(s).

some potential eye poke discussion topics:
- who has the best eye poke?
- which is the best eye poke of all time?
- have you ever poked someone or something in the eye? why?
- have you ever been poked in the eye? by who, and why?
- if you could poke anyone in the eye, who would it be, and why? how deeply would you poke their eye?
- should the eye poke be made legal?
- could you kill someone with an eye poke?

here are some examples of eye pokes:

in my opinion, Roddy Piper was the king of the eye poke. nobody could jab their dirty fingers into someone's eyes like Roddy Piper could. it would always make me laugh when he would do it. nothing puts a smile on my face like seeing someone get poked in the eyes in a fight.
