Ive always wondered - in the Dune 2 PC game, was any of that stuff from the books? Like does House Ordos exist?

It's been my only real source of stuff. Or was it all just made up crap?

OK, without context I thought the dark version looked better. But you all apparently prefer the shrill yellow nightmare world on the left??

Also this is one of the best tracks in the entire game.

E: Hmm, that Turbulence song isn't in the PC version but it seems to crib it's main theme from Faithful Warriors.

The Twittersphere is really mad about that music choice for reasons I guess?

Pretty stupid - it's just a trailer and it's not like the music will be used to score the entire movie. Pink Floyd is omega-popular for a very good reason - they were masters at making music. It started off as pop but quickly evolved into crazy soundscapes that you truly could get lost in.

I'm hoping the trailer is just bad, because a Villeneuve sci fi movie without expansive vistas full of detail would be weird.

This movie loving ruled. Can't wait to watch it again as a lot of the dialog was sorta muddy. I hope to god we get part 2. Everything was perfect.

I thought this movie was not good. I don't think anyone would've thought it was good, or even made sense as a movie, if it weren't for our cultural relationship with the novel. I felt pretty bored at the end.

Wrong.

I've never read the novel and my only experience is with Dune 2.

This movie rocks and I am hoping we get more.

Seeing this on the big screen was so loving good. Saw it at home last week and then went out with friends last night. The booming with The Voice is so loving amazing. I need to get myself a proper stereo system at home but still - nothing beats a theater. I listened to the soundtrack on the way home and it's just so perfect.

Surprisingly I found - the Dune 2 soundtrack WOULD fit certain scenes in the movie. It's a masterclass in world building. It'd be cool if someone put that music in the movie in a sorta fun edit on YouTube.

Try scratching the middle of your back. Now try getting assignation in the back out of nowhere and brush a dart off. Yueh knew what he was doing and it’s such a great scene. Hopeless. Grim.

Josh Brolin should start a death metal band cause his delivery on that line was so loving guttural - with some more practice he could do it longer.

"BRUUUUUATAL!!" - I wonder if they added some more bass in post to it.

I think I liked the aesthetics and feel of the first movie more. As this sorta dream-like experience. This was more of a movie-movie - it’s good though. Don’t get me wrong! And the 3 hours go by so fast. Prob one of the best sci-fi duologies (maybe trilogy!) in a long time.

Villeneuve is a master.
