Made machaca con huevo tacos for breakfast... typical dish from my hometown in Monterrey, Mexico First fry some salted, sun dried, shredded beef (aka machaca) in some pig lard and add some onion and habanero  Then throw some tomato in there and when it is nice and soft, add some eggs to scramble  Warm up some tortillas on the comal, traditionally this is with flour but I like both  It's breakfast taco time, motherfucker

This morning was double corn pancakes (johnnycake with left over sweet corn in it) fried mushrooms, eggs, shishito peppers. I love the farmers market. Melon for him, too, as my body is stupid and I am allergic to it.

Made a scratch tomato sauce this week, with lots of red chili flakes, as well as CSA veg - leeks, red peppers, onions, a head of garlic. Breakfast shakshuka.

My wife made a first attempt at a Dutch Baby. Should have let it go a TINY little bit longer to get a little more color. I imagine that little extra time in the oven would have stopped it from deflating the moment it was out of the oven. It’s a work in progress. We’ll try again soon because it was super good!

Soyriso breakfast burritos with crispy fried cotija on the outside! Tricky but rewarding! First time making Huevos Rancheros! I had a spare sausage patty to throw in there between the beans and avocado!   So I went: Cilantro Cheese Salsa Eggs 1st Tortilla Sour Cream Avocado Sausage Beans (threw in some leftover mushrooms) 2nd Tortilla Anybody got a killer combination to share? I liked it but I want to try something different.
