For anyone that wanna say there's been no good star trek since TNG please go watch the two part season finale + season opener Time's Arrow. What a dog turd. The Mark Twain character sucked in the 90s and sucks even harder now.

All Good Things was great but they just had to have an enterprise upgrade with a third nacelle.

Dunno if this is widely known so I'll put it in spoilers but Hugh is going to be in it. Picard switching into Locutus mode to interrogate Hugh and figure out what's his deal is one of my favorite scenes in TNG, the whole episode is great, classic moral-dilemma Trek so I'm excited to see what he's been up to

This is why although we haven't seen him in the trailers I assume Geordi will show up? Right? idk

I hope Gates McFadden shows up. He's the best twitter follow. She's become a super sweet grandma. Just a month ago she had surgery for a seperated collar bone and posted while high AF on painkillers and it was just the absolute best.

Doesn't change the fundamental flaw, in that the Crossfield class is based on McQuarrie's rejected Enterprise design from Planet of the Titans, and it's loving awful.

It grew on me as well and this is a little off topic but the plot of Star Trek: Planet of the Titans sounds like it would have been fun if you're into 70s sci-fi like Frederik Pohl or Arthur C. Clarke.

That looks terrible.

The longer I watched the more Disco grew on me. I keep meaning to buy the deluxe Eaglemoss model but I don't really have a good place lined up to display that inevitable rabbit hole.

I have 2 Hallmark ornaments of the Discovery as one was a Christmas gift. I'll ship it to you free if you pay shipping. PM me if interested.

No problem. PM me your address. The wife'll be able to ship it out from her work on Friday and then I'll know what the UPS charge is. TBH as a model it's not bad but if you like the bells and whistles old school Hallmark ornaments used to have get ready to be dissapointed. It has like 1 or 2 lights that barely light up and that's it.

I wonder how all the weird Maga chuds who claim that Star Trek discovery has too many social justice warriors and forced diversity and too much socialism (have they even seen a Star Trek before?) are going to say that Picard sucks because of the obvious allegory for the immigration issue. The show is awesome so far. I'm not really interested in going to reddit to find out though.

As for the show's opening theme music though, I was a little disappointed. I mean it's not bad it's just not very memorable.

I too appreciate it that they finally had Romulan characters who are actual characters instead of just stonefaced bad guys.

He's definitely lost that reserved front he had, but whether that's an intentional progression of the character or not I'm not sure yet.

I'm pretty sure Picard seemily to be so old is due to Picard's reaction to having his life long love with Starfleet being fundamentally broken so he doesn't seem a vibrant as Sir Patrick is IRL. Acting!
