I will give Warren the benefit of the doubt on the Native American thing. She very well could have been convinced of her heritage. Until the advent of DNA testing most people took what they were told by close family as the truth.

Everything else, yeah she has been lying. I will likely blame her campaign staff more than anything. I am thinking that she does not have great staff especially evidenced by the pathetic stunts she has been pulling. She really should know better and should be better. It will cost her the nomination.

The problem is that Warren has already blown the benefit of the doubt.
The test results rebuked her, real Native Americans rebuked her, and she still stuck to the claim.

Sure, he may be raising record amounts of funds, but a guy like Bloomberg wipes his rear end with million-dollar bills. If they really wanted to, they could break the bank on this and we'd never be able to catch up.

They're basically just holding back because they don't think they need to show us their Final Form yet.

Which, is a good thing, since the longer they keep underestimating Bernie's supporters, the less time they'll be able to react and throw the requisite amount of dollars at the "problem."

Because that's never how the story gets framed.

It's always turned into "Kerry/Insert Name Here was just too far left." so that they can justify dragging the Overton Window further to the right.

In a hypothetical GE of Trump vs. some rando who literally just quotes Trump word for word, the rando would still be decried as a far left socialist lunatic and would be used as proof that the Dems just need to go further right.

It's been a problem as long as there've been unions, really. It's something industrial unionism tries to help by tying it into a much wider struggle so the boss isn't there just to keep their own position, they're there to fight the class war.

When I was little, my granddad worked in the coal mines and was a member of the union.

You wanna kick out Trump? OK, we'll help, but in exchange we want Medicare for all, a living wage, and action on the climate.

The problem is that the way they see it, shutting up and falling in line is your responsibility by default, and any attempt to bargain is the same thing as tattooing a swastika on your rear end and doing the goose step for Trump.

I've been wondering, since some posters have expressed concern that Bloomberg will try to run 3rd party if he doesn't get to buy the primary; Wouldn't that end up helping Bernie?

I understand that Bernie is the one that Bloomberg is trying to gently caress over, but, isn't he ultimately more likely to end up taking votes away from Trump?
People who would vote Bloom over Bernie probably wouldn't be planning to vote for Bernie anyways, but, they might prefer Bloom over Trump since he'd be more associated with the "good ol' days" of the Republican party, back when they still remembered how to work a dogwhistle.

But the point stands that the narrative is not about some fringe internet part of Sander's campaign that apparently constantly uses slurs against Warren or Pete or whoever - The people listening to his statement are hearing an admission of guilt and are immediately demanding he severs people like Turner and Sirota. The request for an apology has always been a disingenuous trap, it always is in politics.

The people hearing an admission of guilt would be hearing an admission of guilt if he were being asked about his favorite breakfast cereal.
They're on the same level as MAGAchuds, nothing Bernie says or does matters because they've already crafted the narrative in their head against him, and aren't going to let objective reality get in the way of it.
