I got a Christmas card from an aunt, this morning. It had no stamp on it, so I had to go to the post office and pay £2 to even find out what it was.

I wonder if I ought to call her and ask if she's having a breakdown...

Why not assume the stamp fell off and just call her for a nice chat?

Me I don't like mayonnaise, or at least I've never felt the need to add it to anything. You can eat it sure but it's like... It's like cornflour, it's something you add to a food because it serves a structural function, like if your sandwich is too dry you might put some on (though I prefer salad cream) but just making a bucket of the poo poo and putting stuff in it? Absolutely not. Unless it's cheese and onion or prawn cocktail cos those have a lot of flavour. This may be related to my time doing bulk food sales and having to lug literal buckets of shelf stable mayonnaise around.

Also don't like lettuce tbh, or any of the crunchy raw veg types, celery etc, bell peppers, they all just taste of basically nothing but faintly unpleasant.

Cheese and onion strong enough that nobody will go near you for the rest of the day ho yes. Burger relish is good too.

I wonder if someone made an onion that tastes like garlic? If we're leaving the EU I want GMO garlic onions by the end of the loving year.

Look at this non-mayo aioli virgin and laugh

Coronavirus is still not a real concern in the UK at this point. The key things is none of the cases are of unknown origin, this current batch is literally all from a bunch of doctors and their families going skiing in France.

The solution is baseless wild panic

Kernew is a victim, I agree. Thankfully in recent years, there's been a huge push to revitalise the language. I don't know how true that was but sometimes, good things are possible when the people whose interests are actually at stake get to decide what to do, rather than be dictated to.

Did you show her your pokeballs?

most of the kernow language revitalisation is funded by the EU lmbo

FWIW the Australian system is loving dumb for some jobs too. Both them and NZ have near enough the same. We went to an Aus/Can/NZ immigration fair in Birmingham and NZ were like "We're absolutely crying out for building trades: Carpenters, Plumbers, Joiners, Plasterers, etc." and then it turns out that unless you have the equivalent of degree-level qualification you can't get the points to get in. None of those people typically have degrees.

Or you might *just* be able to scrape it if you're under 39 and have 8 years relevant job experience in the last 10, or something, but I'm sure when we were looking they didn't want me.

That's a skilled migrant visa, basically you can live and work there and don't need an existing job offer to do so. You can just apply for jobs in those fields you mentioned in NZ and get in on a essential skills visa if they offer it to you.

I've endured the lack of clarity myself and its frustrating. But it's also not the UK, so that's a bonus.
