Our canvassing teams said it definitely dented their efforts - round here with it dark by 4pm (or earlier in the worst weather), noone opens their doors, and during the day time canvassing, working age people were out so it was mainly retired persons that they were speaking to and they (a) mostly vote tory, (b) do postal votes and get them in before the national tv etc campaigning gets started, (c) trust the BBC and tend to buy Daily Mail, Telegraph, and Sunday Times and were quoting tory talking points about Corbyn back at them. We did intend to start campaigning early but without a manifesto and the relatively short campaign, it wasn't really possible. And Welsh labour are useless and despite Wales being very heavily 'leave' got spooked by the MEP elections and went heavy remain. Ms Adequate posted:Yeah, I guess I just don't get how that's such a widespread condition... I think a lot of it stems from fear. It serves the ruling elite to keep people worrying about homes, jobs, security, where the next meal is coming from and also 'thank god I'm alright'. It's about keeping people mired in the bottom 2 layers of the Maslow pyramid. Keep people unsettled down there and they won't have energy to look further up. This is also why the tories were so keen on offering multiple choices for people for schools, hospitals and so forth, instead of ensuring all schools provide a decent education for all kids. If you're spending all your time worrying about what choices to make for your kids' schools you won't have the energy to pay too much attention to the nefarious activities of the government. Maslow might not be perfect, but I think it's a fairly simple and reasonable model.

Our CLP is having one this weekend for all members. I guess some CLPs aren't having one at all, and others might be doing the 'behind closed doors' thing. Our CLP sent out two emails informing about the meeting. Leadership / Deputy Leadership voting opens end of next week (not sure actual date and can't be assed to check) and you should get emails with voting information in as before. You then sub-let the double bedroom to 4 Romanian girls while kipping round your girl/boyfriend's place thereby making twice as much rental income from the illegal sub-let as you are paying the landlord. I couldn't really check what it was though because i was gated from the rest of their site. To be honest, I'd get on to them again and say it's the home hub thing you want not the mifi thing and you think they've made a mistake. I've always found them reasonable to deal with. The homehub router is a 'normal' router size and quite light so you could consider it portable depending what you were doing. I take the mifi out in my handbag as I don't use mobile phone data. The huawei 535 model has 4 ethernet ports. There's another one they offer with built in Alexa but it only has one Jaeluni Asjil fucked around with this message at 02:03 on Feb 8, 2020 |

Is this a CV application or a form and if it's a form does it ask for a 'complete list' of previous employment? Lots of employers (or, rather, HR departments) like to see a chronological list of what you have been up to. How many years of work have you already? How long was the bar work your job? Was that your only temporary job ever? My last job application that asked for a 'complete list' (which with a work history covering 45 years if a truly complete list was provided is ridiculous) - I put the main 'career jobs' and a single line saying 'Various temporary positions in hospitality, retail and service sectors have been omitted - full list available upon request'. I didn't get the job for reasons best known only to the recruiter! Ed: Just saw your reply that it was during a masters degree.
