Hello all. Back from self imposed forum break, because I would have been dropping c-bombs left and right re:Australia burning to the ground, extended family losing their homes, and all our politicians needing to be punch square in their loving faces. Lets hope February = Not January. I have been playing Glass Masquerade, which is a v-chill cool game and does not involve me calling the Prime Minister of Australia a loving useless c-something-or-other. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJjjBG5CR_Q In board game news I played my first game of Twilight Imperium, which was 9 hours long. I liked it so much we are playing again in a few weeks, because if you are into overly complicated strategy board games it is = very good. I rolled Space Snakes and swarmed across the galaxy blowing poo poo up. 10/10 A++++ would hiss again

Making it a gaming goal this year to play through, and actually finish, my PS4 backlog this year before the PS5 launch. To help with this I've decided to do the only sensible thing and replay the entire Arkham series, rather than a new game  Asylum is a bit rough around the edges, particularly if you compare it to Spider-Man, but gently caress me is it fun being back in that universe again

Arguing City is bad because it's open world is a spicy hot take. Knight I can somewhat understand. City is def the highlight of the Rocksteady trilogy. I like Asylum for it's 'intimate' appeal of being such a tight open world zone

I like Knight, but the DEF BRAND NEW CHARACTER JUST KIDDING ITS THE RED HOOD WEARING A SECOND HAT reveal kinda soured a lot of people's outlook on the game, and rightly so. Can also understand not liking the ham fisted inclusion of Bat Tank, but I have a soft spot for tank combat Press X to EVEN THE ODDS

Playing Asylum atm and combat feels a loooot jankier than it did in City or Knight. Like it's very difficult to chain combos together in free flow, where I remember it being this lovely ballet of action you could pull off. Scarecrow sections still rule
