The fries were better than the chicken last night. I went at 9 and they close at 11 so it wasn't as if it was a big deal to wait for new chicken. Chicken was just not hot, had clearly been sitting for a while. Not moist or tender, breading hard as a rock. Whatever, I'll still be back

popeyes really needs to get a spicy sauce on the menu. wendy's ghost pepper ranch is fantastic. why is popeyes not giving us the spicy option and no bayou buffalo does not count buffalo sauce is bullshit

Went to Popeye's last night about 15-20ish before closing. Its a rare no-drive through location in a strip center. Got a 4 piece but they gave me 6 pieces and a free large red beans + rice because they were trying to get rid of the excess food before close. Not a bad thing to try again in the future IMO. ----------------

I mean being popeyes, it's entirely possible (likely even) they gave you the wrong food a couple of times, but not every time if you have been there a bunch. Spicy is just more flavorful (I’d argue that “spicy” is a bit of a misnomer, but my wife seems to think it is), it’s not going to kick you in the head or anything.

the spicy popeye's chicken is not really spicy at all, i'm sorry to say. it definitely tastes good but like, wendy's spicy chicken nuggets are spicier. they taste like they should be spicy but they're not actually spicy. does that make sense

I know people taste things differently, but even with the "not actually spicy at all" stance like the two above posts say, also like the two above posts say I wouldn't say it just tastes like "just a pinch of black pepper". It's actually good. Thus the "just joking around" or "broken taste buds or brain" thing.

My first job was working at a Popeye's and my job was to season the chicken. The Seasoning for regular is just salt and for Spicey its not a spice blend its just cayenne pepper. I made the mistake the first time of not wearing gloves to season the spicey and that was a loving experience. So yeah its totally subjective because some Popeyes' the seasoner may not really season the hell out of the spicey. Whatever they put in most spicy fast food that makes my tummy unhappy even though I enjoy eating it does not seem to be present in popeyes.

Popeyes is doing the 6pc wings get another 6pc for $1 deal. Which is good, their wings have been tasty and quite large. KFC also has a 12pc chicken bucket for 50% off also.

I usually get 6 honey bbq and 6 sweet n spicy. The honey bbq are always hotter for me for some reason. I may have tried the ghost pepper once before. But it's only mid hot apparently. From what I saw on some youtubers the signature hot is their hottest and its legit hot. Im not a spicy hot aficionado, so I've never tried it yet.

Two 6 piece wings is like 1700+ calories mostly fat. I liked the spicy wings the one time I had them but I don't think they reheat and that's too much food for me

Got the 12 wings last night. Got the Sweet n Spicy and Ghost Pepper. Sweet n Spicy was good as usual. Ghost Pepper was a rub and not a sauce and seems flavorless? I had to dunk into the ranch.
