Saint Louis FC: hired a new coach in Steve Trittschuh, but will still be aggressively mediocre. we did get two Open Cup wins against MLS opposition last year (if you can call Cincinnati and Chicago Fire "MLS opposition", which lol) but apart from that...people here know decent soccer, want decent soccer and this ain't it. the only thing they have over a good high school game here like CBC-Vianney or SLUH-Rockwood Summit is that they can sell alcohol during the match. and even then less and less people are wanting to deal with the reconstruction of Highway 44 at the Meramec River, paying $15 to park, and putting up with the Louligans' "antics" all while baking under a summer sun next to the old Chrysler plant out in Fenton. besides, this is a Battlehawks town now--at least there you're indoors, and you get to vent your frustrations at Stan Kroenke. MLS is supposed to come in a year or two and that has to be better, right?

Edward Mass posted:

Portland Timbers 2, Philadelphia Union II, and Orlando City B are shutting down.

a story in The Athletic said that the MLS plans to re-start their reserves league next year, mostly because of diverging goals for MLS and the USL
