I'm certain it's based on an older quote, possibly from Mark Twain, but I can't find anything to back that up on a quick Google so maybe it's an example of what I'll call Churchill Syndrome where people misattribute quotes to older, more respectable sources to cover up the fact they actually came from Kurt Cobain.

I have four gigs organised with my band in the next nine days, they're the last ones we're ever going to play, and if they get cancelled I'll be well annoyed.

Luckily there will probably be about ten people in the crowd for each one, so minimal infection risk.

When this first started feeling serious I thought Boris & Co would be able to swing this to their advantage. As each day goes by this seems less and less likely but even if this somehow does tank the Tories I'd rather it also didn't result in thousands of people dying needlessly.

Buy a vets thermometer.

What makes this difficult even if the government decides to do something is that our outbreak is already widespread. Italy's outbreak was mostly concentrated in the North, while Spain's is concentrated in Madrid. There might be a few islands in the Shetlands where we don't have pockets of infection. I think this figures quite heavily in the current official guidelines.

It's aged pretty well, in that it has exactly the same problems (combat is clunky af, graphics are pretty muddy) but the writing and setting are still fantastic.
