Bilsy from the Australian version did an AMA a while back, which implied that they definitely do it over a number of days. https://www.reddit.com/r/LegoMasters/comments/bonc2s/ama_with_contestant_bilsy_from_2019_australian/ Also implied that Kale was about as much of a dickhead as he was portrayed as on the show. CodfishCartographer posted:Is there any place to watch the UK / Aus versions here in the US? I'd love to check 'em out. Might need a VPN, but https://www.9now.com.au/lego-masters?onm=nine.com.au-9now-a849-showslegomasters Here's the Aus version. I thought the Aus version was fantastic. Bonus, clip of Kale being a dickhead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1Vsj0tP0vM Chairchucker fucked around with this message at 05:14 on Mar 4, 2020 |

Fragmented posted:I'm watching the Australian version and does Bilsy owe Kale some sort of life debt? What self respecting person would put up with any of that crap? lol Check out Bilsy's AMA I posted a little way up thread. He was originally slated to go in with someone else, but his partner had a kid and that took precedence. So he'd never met Kale before.

Pretty sure Powerboard was just using rhetoric to suggest that Sam shouldn't be on the show on account of being a bully.

Is there a non way to watch the US and UK Lego Masters? EDIT: From outside of those countries I mean.

I really liked last year's Lego Masters season. Almost all of the contestants were really likeable, and I usually felt like the winners deserved to win their week. Brickman and Hamish worked with each other really well, too, IMO.

I'm watching it live. So far there are no obvious villains, but it's early days. EDIT: it was good imo. Some stronger looking teams early on, hopefully others will get stronger. No really unlikeable teams. Chairchucker fucked around with this message at 12:06 on Apr 19, 2020 |

I keep forgetting this thread exists, but srsly, this season of Lego Masters is so good. I like all of the contestants and I don't want any of them to go home. I'm so glad there's no Kale equivalent this year.

Senor Tron posted:The whole unexpected elimination + buildoff to stay on the show really felt like they wanted to ditch the two women but just couldn't quite justify it. If they'd wanted to they could've just... not done the elimination and they would've been gone.

AllisonByProxy posted:IMO the other team in the bottom 2 should have been voted off anyway considering they didn't even bother building anything off the underside of the table and that was literally the whole point of the challenge. Same tbh EDIT: Also I prefer the girls. They're my second favs after Jackson and Alex, who both my housemate and I are referring to as 'our boys' and want them to take the gold.

I would probably watch a show that was just Hamish bantering with Jackson and Alex.

Hamish is a frequent guest on our panel show kinda things, like Spicks and Specks and Thank God You're Here. He's one of my favourites on TGYH because it's a somewhat contrived show that stifles participants' attempts to improvise, and he tends to break the script a little bit. He's pretty much the perfect fit for this show, and I think Brickman is a pretty good straight man to Hamish's antics, as well.

Agreed that was good as hell and the objectively correct result. Now to get ready to hatewatch The Voice and probably give up after the blind auditions.

The best version of LEGO Masters, the Australian one, is getting a celebrity Christmas special. Remains to be seen if it's any good when the people involved don't know what they're doing.

Parakeet vs. Phone posted:There's someone posting on the show's reddit claiming that they were one of the contestants. They seem legit enough, but you know, pile of salt. There's a lot of posters there who have been on the shows. Kale, Bilsy, Fleur, Tim and Dawei from the Australian LEGO Masters are the main ones I've seen.
