The request was for nonmeat recipes, and I was going to describe carbonara and then point out that you can do basically the same thing without the pork, just adding some other fat to get the same texture/consistency. Butter is a common choice for this, which basically gives you al burro + egg. If you get more technical on your "non-meat" make seafood pasta: canned sardines, tomatoes and fennel go wonderful together.
