I don’t have a cat to post bc mine died. I’ll accept a probation as token of well wishing instead. (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)

This is Katie. She was a very independent gal who showed affection only from afar. I got her from the shelter, where she was on her last day before euthanasia. They guessed she was 3-5 years old when I adopted her. She gave me 12 amazing years. She fought valiantly through her decline in old age, and she told me when she had enough. We said goodbye five years ago. I miss her kisses on my cheek. This is Kahlua. Her original owner, my ex, abandoned her with me. I promised Kahlua I would never leave her too. I loved this cat with my soul. She loved belly rubs, came when called, and never damaged anything or hissed at anyone in her long life. She had big, beautiful eyes and was as soft as a teddy bear. She made it 17 years, which is 3 years longer than she was estimated to make it with her gastric lymphoma. She was happy and playful until the day she wasn’t. I knew that was her day to say goodbye. I cradled and hugged her in her last breath. It’s been three months, and I can still her big purr. (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)

Wow, it's been three whole years since I've been kitty sixer'd I was pet sitting, and wanted to get a pic of the absolute squeaker-meow lap cat, but the dogs were too energetic to give me 5 minutes. (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)

Clown Suit Cowboy posted:Kahlua Ahh im sorry. At least she got to be around someone who cared at the very end. Cat death is extremely tough. I had mine for literally half my life and it just feels weird continuing to exist without her. My dad, who basically became her number 1 human after I left to college, didn’t sleep is his bed for four whole months after her passing, since he’d always sleep with her in his arms on the left side of the bed. I wouldn’t have been surprised if someone told me that he asked the vet to be put down alongside her. He’s not particularly a religious guy, and thinks it’s just his mind playing tricks when he hears her at 4am sometimes. May our kitties meet at the pearly gates.
