Rikuo and Haru's ending was almost exactly the same. I only read the last couple of manga chapters but it looks like for Rou and Shinako they had to change a lot because in the manga he'd gone to Italy and met another woman. Along with what I've been able to dig up, that seems to confirm that episode 12 was the last one. I liked the slow pace and it seemed like it could go on for another few episodes, but the way it ended just felt kind of abrupt. That's a shame because I really liked everything else about the show. The way they did some parts like flashbacks sorta like panels from a comic was neat and worked well, I found. Still, it sounds like the manga is worth checking out so I'm looking forward to that.
