Rikuo and Haru's ending was almost exactly the same.

I only read the last couple of manga chapters but it looks like for Rou and Shinako they had to change a lot because in the manga he'd gone to Italy and met another woman. Then this happens in the last half of the final chapter: https://mangadex.org/chapter/161998/20

Honestly I think I much prefer the manga version.

Along with what I've been able to dig up, that seems to confirm that episode 12 was the last one. I liked the slow pace and it seemed like it could go on for another few episodes, but the way it ended just felt kind of abrupt. That's a shame because I really liked everything else about the show. The way they did some parts like flashbacks sorta like panels from a comic was neat and worked well, I found.

Still, it sounds like the manga is worth checking out so I'm looking forward to that.

I think the only two romance IPs that I enjoyed with content greater than a single cour (where "will-they-won't-they" was the main thrust) were Lovely Complex and Nana.

Maison Ikkoku is another great one for me.

This sounds cool, gonna check it out.
