Actually I did play the PC port and got up to the marching minigame and I just couldn't get any further because my 2009 laptop couldn't figure out the right video card equivalency to not have the game stutter

oh, never read to me as armour the same as what other characters were wearing but then maybe I just wasn't paying attention in the original. just looks kind of goofy when the Shinra people have firearms and Barret has an M134 attached to his arm

I feel like that is something that would work in an alternate universe, where something like that wouldn't result in a bunch of stupid gotcha takes on social media about Sony making you feel bad for just playing a game. But we live in the dumb timeline, so Sony has to reassure you right at the outset that don't feel bad, the bad guys were behind it the whole time
