Could be horrible! Could be Jungle Girl (it is)  1941's Jungle Girl has a cool history to it: it is, for example, the very first sound serial to have a female lead. And it's based on a book by Burroughs. And it will... probably have depictions of... jungle peoples in it. Oh boy. I'm not gonna lie, this may be cringe-worthy, but seeing as everybody's favorite anyone is Black Whip, we owe it to ourselves to see if Jungle Girl is even half as awesome. hey folks, gonna have to delay a movie night by a weekend cause my internet connection didn't get set up cause the technician who came out couldn't be bothered to call or knock on the door and left instead. NBN co sucks. also it's been a long and frustrating and expensive week so sort of brain dead when it comes to looking for more good things to show but never fear, there will be one on the weekend of the 27-28th and i'll have a bit of extra time to gather good claymation stuff! just a heads up in case anyone else wants to run something

There is a rumour that Tenet is a sequel of sorts to Inception and... I don't like that one bit. One of the things that made Inception so cool is that everything was for such low stakes in one sense. The protagonists weren't saving the world. Despite much violence few lost their lives or livelihood. In the end the explosions and destruction of whole city blocks we got to see really only affected one corporation's profits at the expense of another. A guy got to be with his remaining family. That's it. So the talk of averting a "Nuclear Holocaust" doesn't jive. |

There is a rumour that Tenet is a sequel of sorts to The Princess Diaries and... I don't like that one bit. One of the things that made The Princess Diaries so cool is that one scene where Anne Hathaway gets into a brutal fistfight with Hector Elizondo in the lake across from Julie Andrews' house, in order to avenge Mandy Moore's death, and rips Hector Elizondo's throat out with her bare hands.
