Just found this thread, the build is looking really good! Much better than the older Master my dad converted into a camper with bits of old caravan. His was the slightly older version the the same shape with the rectangular headlights, ex patient transport non turbo diesel. The one good thing about it was that a lot of the camper bits were quick release so it could still be used as a van.

The later versions like yours were much better and a really nice drive. We had one of similar age at work and it was surprisingly good off road. Renault/Vauxhall/Opel/Nissan made some good vans in that era, great drivers, didn’t rust and pretty reliable aside from gearbox and injector maladies. Given our climate I’d take one of these over crusty ford or merc.

You’d be surprised where a Master on OEM tyres will get you, better than most FWDs cars and vans somehow. Of course it’s heavy at so it’ll dig in and sink on anything soft, but it’s great on loose hard stuff.

My wife’s Pug has the car versions of those tyres and they are very good, I’m tempted to put them on my Freelander if I don’t fit ATs.
