In lieu of HOPE IS A LIE, the KFC in Fratton near me can't decide whether it's open for drive-thru, delivery or both, while the whole surrounding area is currently under an anti-social dispersal order. I love this city

XMNN posted:there's no point really, the virus is over next week because Boris is bored of lockdown In all seriousness, I can't tell how serious it's being taken where I am. My usual commute from the heart of Southsea to the north of Portsea Island generally takes 35 minutes in normal rush hour and school traffic, and nowadays it takes 15 minutes but the volume of other cars and people I pass at the same time of day varies from "almost a normal Saturday" to "it's quiet for a Christmas Day". I'm not even sure the local Tesco has queues to get in any more, while the KFC does drive-thru and has about 15 cars waiting at all times

I also can't do my actual job either because Airbus's advice was to "stay at home for 72 hours and do not leave the house", so welp

I had to do my first day back in the real world today, and of course, I needed to go into a care home which if I'd known before arriving I probably would have noped out of. As it was, they took my temperature with a digital thermometer before I was in the door, gave me a mask and let me get on with what I needed to do (reloaded some firmware which just involved staring at my laptop for an hour while it did it's thing)
