Theres plenty of 'best rock bands' that have less than 1 good albums worth of songs across their whole career. GnR, Motley Crue are the first two the come to mind
they arent bad and their famous songs are deserving classics, but they get way too much praise for what was probably just a case of right place, right time.

Motley Crue sucks. Just the worst of 80's glam in a saccharine package.

GNR I get. It's roots rock n' roll with a metal punch for the working man.
