I like this game a lot, and I love how the later clans really lean into some weird self destructive tactics.

Also when you ascend/descend enemies they go to the back, which is a good place for an enemy tank.

I had a weird run last night with the Stygians where I realised a little late that I was very light on units. Had a cloned upgraded incant buff mermaid, a squid thing that bumps up your magic power, the umbra damage shield gorger and my champ. Still managed to get up to Seraph on the strength of my spell casting, but the game does not want you to win with only 5 units.

After seeing all the Siren love in this thread, I rode them and a couple of totems (sap and frostbite) to a covenant 16 win. Feels good.

My favourite card upgrade thing is definitely putting a holdover and spellchain on Perils of Production. Don't care about emberdrain when I can get 5 ember for free every turn.

LOL I just made a holdover perils of production and duplicated it five times and it turns out that sometimes you need more than 5 perils of productions every turn to win a battle.
