They didn't even build a containment chamber around him and just left him out in the open meadow like that, within walking distance of the village. I feel like Qual was a Demon who would let people go. More interested in the Heroic Battle With Heroic Hero's unless i somehow already forgot if there was a panel of him annihilating the village
