I'm going to steal the mage using Animate Dead/Flesh Puppet to walk the party home for a RPG round someday (and of course the loving paladin will try to smite them).

Them being made of Mana means they are either purposefully created or form from something. This explains why they don't have parents and their disdain for humans comes from their origin.

Since the group is on the way to the former Demon King's Castle, where you are supposed to be able to meet the dead, Demons might form from all the negative baggage the dead have.

-e-
How about the classical origin of demons, the fear and nightmares of humans?

Also the casual mention of the passing of half a year to multiple years at a time in a single chapter, which has happened repeatedly recently, meaning we will likely be saying our farewells to the current human party members maybe sooner than we expect.

All chapters since #6 have been 28 years after Himmel's death. The last time it took Frieren's party 10 years to get to the castle, so it shouldn't take longer than that.

How old is Fern in relation to the hero Himmels passing? I don't really remember.

Frieren met Fern 20 years after Himmel's death and 6 years later she still was shorter than Frieren, so I'd guess she's around 1816 now, which would fit with her being an adult in two years.

-e-
She looks too young for 14 in chapter three, so I'm lowering my guess by two years.

Frieren's combat style is designed for taking down demons, who are up their own asses how good they are at magic. Of course it should work for haughty humans.

Nope. They only know her from the Hero's party because it is was like 80 years ago. Notice that mainly the old guy recognized her.
Flamme lived 1000 or so years ago.

People getting forgotten is one of the main themes of this series.
