Gave what I could but I'm in the middle of my house falling apart and that's expensive.

I don't think it hurts to want to be as anonymous as possible, but maybe I'm paranoid.

Are you donating in cash? Otherwise, they aren't. If you're using a credit card to pay for whatever you're bringing protestors, that's traceable too.

Won't be able to make it to the protests today because of some personal BS, which sucks because I'd kinda hyped myself up for it. Decided to throw some money to the local bail fund as an apology. Stay safe goons!

Is there a good list of funds that are mostly legit, sorted by region? I know a lot are shutting the donations down as they get an influx which is great but what is left.

hey folks, which ones in the OP are 100% vetted, I'd like to make a significant donation but just want to make sure it goes to a verified place. immediately tried the minneapolis one and that's shut down from overwhelming support apparently, where would be the next best verified donation location, which could use the most help?

well it's not so relevant where I am but rather where the money is needed the most, like I saw on the multistream last night a thousand cops/soldiers sweeping atlanta and scooping up tons of people, so I figure places like that could use it best. I'm just not very good at figuring out where it would be better served, so recommendations would be appreciated.

I was about to donate to a bail fund in my hometown of Seattle, but I got thinking, which city needs it the most? It's probably not Seattle but other than that I really don't know. Is there a way to know?

Edit: I donated to the one in Seattle anyway, and if anyone can give an idea of a city that really needs it more than the others, I'll donate to them too. I live on the other side of the world so there's not much else I can do.

But, I do have a serious question for the thread. Who is this bail money going toward? If it is for the actual protestors, then count me in. If it for those perpetuating violence and theft, then not so much. The one for my local area was very vague about that.

You dont seem to understand the basic problem with the bail system or have a sense of the idea that everyone deserves a legal defence regardless they are the "good ones".

They are getting close to their goal, this is mostly covering protestors in Des Moines where police took a knee Saturday night and went back to tear gassing and arresting people within ten minutes. Since then the curfew has been extended to "until the city council decides to end it" and they've started arresting people in their own homes/apartment buildings.

I'm limiting my donations to $50 because I donate every time something makes me want to cry or yell or scream with rage. In the GBS cool zone thread there was a video of a huge roid rage cop beating someone so badly another cop even tried to hold him back and he pushed her away and then they finally tried to handcuff the suspect and his arm was so clearly broken. So I gave $50 to black visions collective.

Pro Tip: If you want to get an extra hit of dopamine in these difficult times, and also help out a bunch of bail funds statistics by increasing their number of donors, the google chrome browsers payment info saving i.e cards and addresses make making lots of small individual donations super easy. just a few clicks each time.

I was able to work through almost that whole list and give $5-10 to each fund and it felt good and I shamelessly took screenshots and made a little collage. It felt like I was dropping little rain droplets of freedom across this bitch
