Hi, thanks so much for making this thread! I am trying to learn more about Marxism in the current crisis. I have a really dumb question, so thanks for making this space for me to ask it: What is the Marxist view of art and music? I feel like some of my resistance to Marxist ideas comes from hearing stories about how artists and musicians were treated in situations where Marxism became dominant... but that could be part of my American perspective. Sorry if this is hopelessly succ, it's not a troll.
