Joined the discord as Sab, I got gifted the game today and literally just finished the tutorials before finding the thread. Gonna try and brave some pubbies and see how insufferable the community is (which, really, just means less cooperation and more loving with pubbies), but I'm down to play with Goons if anyone's ever interested.

In fact, I am extremely happy because that's loving hilarious. I showed my buddy who prompted me to get it in the first place the ropes last night. It was just the 2 of us, so I tossed in 2 bots thinking it would make it smoother. We ran 3 missions and within 5 minutes of leaving the station each time both bots were loving dead.

So if you want to join but not have a trial by fire, you're good to go with us. I throw out role alerts a few hours beforehand whenever I feel like playing and any one else is welcome to do so as well, of course. Haven't played for a bit, but I'm pretty keen on hopping back in sometime soon. Just noticed at some point I left the co-op server, so I'll hop back in and grab the role and check it out.

I'm really upset how good the Clown talent tree is for the Assistant. I want it to just be a meme, but being able to honk your horn and give your crewmates 30% skill gain rate AND slowly repair all electronics/mechanics is just bonkers. Though I'm not sure I'll ever take the repair talent because being able to swim outside the ship without a diving suit with an additional 60% speed is loving hilarious and rad.

Straight up though don't sleep on the spec if you always want something to do, Clown looks like (and obviously is) a joke tree for Assistant but I'm also convinced it's straight up one of the best ones in the game. Absurd utility, exceptionally tanky, and most importantly never needs a diving suit.
