Kvlt! posted:What game has the best planet-glassing? I always get such a kick out of building to the biggest ordninance in 4x games. I remember being a kid and rushing straight to the nukes in Civ. Sword of the Stars was neat because some weapons had neat effects when hitting a planet. Mass drivers and missles had explosions, big beam cannons left a large glowing line on the surface. Or you get stealth ships, sneak up and virus bomb the planet, then try to get to the edge of the map to escape. You launched enough bombs, you could see a noticeable decrease in the lights on the planet and number of defense missiles.
