I’m planning on setting up a BBS network where every thread is hosted on its own phone line, so you can just call the thread, log in, post away. Then log off so the next poster can hop on. If you want you can print the thread or even download a midi of the airwolf theme song. My Compuserve ID is 78119,631 if anyone wants to help. I've checked out bread n roses and I'm feeling very optimistic about it, enthusiastic even. It has a nice positive chill vibe, which is an actual welcome respite from the constant negativity in this place. People seem knowledgeable and skilled. I'm seeing yospos people and humour in the computer forum, and the generalist forum looks like a mix of gbs and pyf. I also hear rumor that much of Games is migrating here as well. It looks considerably less active than SA, but also way more active than any other offsite I'm aware of.

I paid Bread+Roses my  before I saw Queen Combat's offer to bypass the paywall  . I'm assuming it's slow giving me access because of an influx of people, but I hope it gives me what I want out of a forum when I get in.

Joined BNR, I’ll see how it goes. waiting for my registration upgrade to process. I don’t know how one goes about replacing something like SA. I really enjoyed harmony-central for a long time But they tried to upgrade their software twice, then sold the forums to a big business and and it lost its joy.

Digging into BnR it seems sort of like the posters that were salivating for power in qcs when fyad got nixed so while I largely agreed with much of what was being said a lot of the ringleaders kind of had the shaun king "using sensitive subjects for personal gain" vibe so I dunno if a forum ran by them is the way forward.
