Every so often some hot news about a progressive social group pops up and it turns out their leaders had schemed there way to the top and were at best financial scammers and at worst sex criminals and it's not a huge surprise because it always seems like the worst people are the thirstiest for power and sociopathic enough to use sensitive subjects as a bludgeon to beat down anyone that would oppose them. Seeing the people that left to start BnR really had that sort of vibe to it. I dunno who I'd even want from SA to be the face of a new forum but it certainly wouldn't be the kind of people who specifically wanted an offsite for them to be in charge of.

Jeffery taking the reigns really seems like the best case scenario. Our group doesn’t pay as close attention to SA anymore really, but i still didn’t want to see it go quite like this. Welp, our invitations still stand, and here’s to this dead gay comedy forum hopefully, maybe getting back on it’s feet.

It's also the fact that several mods and admins enabled Lowtax by banning any discussion on the matter for years. This is a systematic sitewide catastrophe.
