Is there anything funnier than Bad Women's Anatomy? Probably not. It can be bad anatomy, too, if you so desire and we'll go past the gender. There are some NSWF BadWomensAnatomy, too, like ridiculous Hentai drawings and what not. Let's try to avoid those, since the thread should be atleast semi-scrollable at work. Be it writing by Dean Koontz, bad drawings, hot takes on Social Media, or anything that conveys a terrible understanding of the female anatomy, is what this thread is about. BadMensAnatomy is fine because I am not trying to make this a genderized thing. However, it is not a secret that the typical macho man is often the likeliest perpetrator in Aggresively Not Understanding Anatomy. There's a subreddit for this, called /r/badwomensanatomy, where you can surely scroll for some prime material for examples. The structure that develops into the clitoris during fetal development is the same one that develops into the glans of the penis, depending on what hormonal signals it gets. So they're connected, if not necessarily physically in all people. Most women don't know much about their lower regions - it's not all out there and visible, and that's not even accounting for our dismal health education generally, so I'm sure this is not an uncommon experience

My question is how do misconceptions like this survive in adults? I can understand 10-12 year olds thinking stuff like this. The playground is a kaleidoscopic maelstrom of fanciful misinformation. Especially about icky girl stuff. But for grown ups to still honestly believe poo poo like this is not just an indictment on education, (not just sex education, or biology, but on basic thinking), but also an indictment on the hosed up way of thinking of the people involved.

Our education around anatomy and especially sexual anatomy is so unbelievably poor that people (not even just men) develop something of a "folk" understanding of womens' bodies that has very restricted countervalence within society generally. I don't think most of the teenage boys who would become dumb men refuse to understand how womens' bodies work, and I think in fact they're quite interested to learn, but in many places the only sources of information are other teenage boys, other older male figures who had the same or shittier education and launder all their developed biases against women in general through them (as in the "loose" woman example) or the loving internet, and we all know how that goes.
