Like each fight ended up being like two minutes longer than it had to be with the whole talk to the monitor/wait to get walked to the stage/etc. stuff that made the thing feel like a slog. And gently caress you if you wanted to 100% the game and had to go through the whole thing again, only without the plot beats to break it up. Chapter 4 was the best, but even it had a lot of unnecessary backtracking. Come to think of it, maybe TTYD is only as good as people remember it because they forgot all the awful backtracking in it.

No way most players would find them on their own without the accessory. Even with just the bell accessory some still manage to be bullshit. Like hiding two right next to each other so you find one and spend fifteen minutes running through the whole dungeon again to find the other one.
