Like each fight ended up being like two minutes longer than it had to be with the whole talk to the monitor/wait to get walked to the stage/etc. stuff that made the thing feel like a slog. And gently caress you if you wanted to 100% the game and had to go through the whole thing again, only without the plot beats to break it up. I replayed it last year and it still owns, sorry. Color Splash was pretty okay so maybe this will be fine but I gotta say it kind of sucks that they've been trying to reinvent Paper Mario longer than the 'classic style' paper mario games were being made at this point.
