It's true. Magical girls are constantly warned in this universe not go out alone and that their job is dangerous and people die doing it. Just because it was more dangerous than she expected it to be on that particular night because of what Undine didn't tell her doesn't mean that it's her fault she died. She could have died even if Goops never noticed her at all simply because there were so many extra monsters and she got overwhelmed. She was killed by her own poor decision making.

Thing is, Tess doesn't have any magic anymore, so if she becomes a dark magical girl Goops will have to give her new powers. Undine has both Tess's power and her own, so when she learns how to use it (like the finger gun), she'll be even more powerful than Tess was. So whatever Goops turns Tess into probably won't be a match for Undine in the end.

Does Anemone tell us that, or are we assuming based on his tech (which seems foolish given we've only followed magical girls for the most part, who wouldn't need it)?

I assumed it was meant to symbolize Goops corruption, like it's infringing on the pure white barrier with the inner barrier color which we've all theorized are two different things. But it could just be trees touching it, or maybe it just looks like trees on this night.

I assume whatever is the reason that Goops hates Undine (or possibly MGs in general) happened or was conveyed to her in her dream, which is why she doesn't remember. Beyond that, we definitely haven't been shown enough to even really speculate much on Goops's motivations. She remains a mystery antagonist until the protagonists can confront her more directly, or we're shown a flashback or something.

It would be a pretty cool spin on the trope if Anemone is able to talk to the reader because she passed through the fourth wall, so now the characters on the other side of it can't fully acknowledge her.
