I mean, they specifically make a point of showing that he moves completely unnaturally in a way largely untethered from the laws of physics. His Gear form isn't designed to give him an immersive, realistic experience as a warrior in another world, but to swiftly and efficiently eliminate anyone disrupting the game he's moderating with the most advanced technology Solid Quake can deploy.

Zones only matter for people who use their legs to move.

So you're saying the brass finally figured out legs were just for show?

I figured something like that would happen, The system tends to hide things away or "resets" them. a bug this size would need a reboot. and a reboot is in order. but now its time for boss to break out and end this farce

Tbh instead of killing the gadoll to win system's favor I'd rather they made friends with it and shot down the spaceship, it clearly can do that.

Their avatar bodies are stored inside Deca Dence or somewhere planetside right? Maybe this'll end with everyone back in a humanoid body.

And yeah I think it might be important that the gadoll didn't attack until it was attacked. I'm wondering if they're implying it's rather innocent.

They established that right back in the early episodes.

And yeah, Natsume's superpower is 'makes friends with everyone', so I can definitely see her convincing Kaburagi and the new Gadoll to work together rather than murder each other. We need some kind of payoff to all the setup with Pipe, and that surface-to-orbit beam cannon is the best leverage they have against Solid Quake (provided it can fire faster than their dimensional collapse mechanism).

I get the impression that the cyborgs are at least a solar system-spanning species that have abandoned earth for the most part. This whole deca-dence thing is just a tiny playground for them.

There were multiple (company) ships shown around Earth, with Solid Quake being the one running Deca-Dence.

The consciousnesses are transmitted from the cyborg bodies to the avatars. They're not permanent housing.

From what's been shown the rouge gadoll was scavenging and hadn't actually encountered anything alive by the time it approached Deca-dence iirc. It's just been devouring all it could see.

do other ships play deca dence? is there currency? or company script used for oxyone and other services?

Darth Walrus

The humans and Gadoll rejecting divide and rule and teaming up against Solid Quake would also slightly raise our odds of getting Hugin and Munin back as our final boss. Yeah, their exit was pretty cool and thematically fitting, but our heroes getting to slug them in their pointy faces would feel a lot more meaningful than doing it to an abused pet with big sad eyes.

I don't think we've been given any evidence at all that this company constitutes the whole of their society.

They said early on that it bought out humanity in its entirely, and its control of cyborg society seems pretty complete.

They also mechanized because conditions on Earth were so bad, so that probably means no interplanetary subsidiaries.

They bought the rights to the remaining flesh and blood humans. They mention the existence of other companies during the reveal in the second episode.
