2020 is bringing a lot of tribulations for the city. The story is different in the mountains. Share about the last time you were able to get out and hear the good news.

For me it was looking for morels. Last year was a big fire year around here. We tried going one weekend, but we were a little early. I dodged work on a Thursday drove to a gated access road, biked back a ways, and started walking. There were a few, but I started to worry I'd charged in too excited and scared them all off. Then I came to a draw with cathedral lighting and sparkles in the air. Hello guys, nice to see you. This was the first time I'd been morel picking instead of morels hunting. It was grand.

I chucked him in about 7 feet from shore and he looked so betrayed :laffo:

Haha, drat, owning the poor pup. Sounds like he kinda deserved it though

That reminds me of a dog stream crossing story. We were heading up high to ski, and used this stream as a route. We crossed a few times without much trouble. Then it entered a canyon, and got trickier. We should have exited sooner, but we stubbornly kept going up stream. After a stretch of somewhat hairy maneuvering, we came to a cliff on our side and a pretty burly but possible jump to the other side. The humans determined we would cross, but the dog was like oh hell no. So we stomped all the thin ice on both sides, set one person on the far side to catch, and tossed the 55 lbs dog over the icy rapid.
