There are some very talented photographers and beautiful locations. I was able to check off a spot I have had on my list for a long time. I didn't get to spend as much time I as had hoped there.

Some more Ruapehu snaps, I took shots with a few different kinds of film at each location to see which worked out best.

FART

These aren't great quality as they were taken on a phone about 8 years ago, but I though I would post some photos I took when I worked for a coast & countryside trust. These are all from Fife on the east coast of Scotland. Ranging from St Andrews, to a few of the smaller beaches at the fishing villages along the East Neuk, to the rail bridge across the Forth.

I still live on the coast so I should go for a drive along some day this summer and get some nicer pics. Fife is a bit of a meme in Scotland because it's quite a poor county, and the bigger towns are pretty run-down. But I think the coastline is beautiful and a very underrated part of Scotland.

I hope critter pics are acceptable!

I found this big guy (seriously, he was like the size of a dinner plate) chilling in a sunny spot in the middle of a winding country road.

I went ahead and moved him to the side (of course, in the direction he was facing) so hopefully he didn't immediately sprint back to the sun :v:

I always make an effort to assist turtles out of the road when it's safe to do so.

Turtles are cool :3:

Some stuff since April.

Whale Peak out in Anza Borrego Desert State Park. Took another goon and it was the last desert hike of the season since it broke 100F while we were out the last weekend of April.

Up to Cuyamaca, Japacha, and Stonewall Peaks in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park.

Noble Canyon, part of the Cleveland National Forest.

And this past weekend did a quick bag of Viejas Mountain before it got hot for the day, also part of Cleveland National Forest.

There was a slight dip in temperature here this week, so after a last minute check I decided to sneak in desert hike over at Anza Borrego Desert State Park instead of my original plan for Saturday. Just gotta start at 6am :eng101:

Got back to the car and it was ~95F at 11am, so overall a good time.
