Probably doesn't have gears the handle bars doesn't look like it has shifters. At that price point it makes me think of the rad power radmission which also has no gears. Gears aren't as important for an ebike with the pedal assist but they can give you more efficiency.

Folding locks are heavier than equivalent rated u locks but are a more flexible option for locking bikes. They are a little less secure but I love the flexibility of the lock. I use a foldylock forever but kryptonite and abus offer folding locks too.
