I just opened up the national tracing app, it must have updated because I was logged out. thankfully ios had the password stored but I can imagine how many older people who had their child set it up in the first place when logged out are just hosed. it’s mind boggling how devs think this is ok at all

something awful is the only website ever that doesn’t log you out for no reason. the app is very good but not perfect. almost everything else sucks hard balls

i have been peripherally involved in building this app and the session timeout was argued over a lot. I think it’s 30 days, which was the longest the privacy commission would allow

the app warns you when the cookie expiration is pending, too, like an enterprise login. awful.iap is probably one of the better apps in terms of user features and consideration
