Previous thread was here About the Goonweight GP Welcome to Season 29 of the Goonweight GP! Every other week or so you'll see a new UFC card posted, you'll post your picks, then you'll watch the show and have more fun because some guy you've never heard of can net you an extra point if he can finish this before the end of the second round. You'll have even more fun when the judges rob someone and you get points for that. It's even better if everyone at your party hates the guy you need to win. A few days before every card, I'll post the fights on the main card with a FORM and a SPREADSHEET. Fill out the form (or post you picks in the thread), and then check the spreadsheet to make sure your picks are in there correctly. When the card is over and I find time to do so, I'll calculate the results and post standings. The coolest people post picks in the thread and spreadsheet. Of the Night Awards serve as Tie Breakers. As with previous seasons, there will also be RNG picks. CERTIFIED RULES OF THE GOONWEIGHT GP - Picks can be submitted via the Form, or in the thread, though I prefer you do both. - If a fight is called off after the form is posted no points will be awarded. - Picks must be submitted before the start of the Main Card to be eligible. Picks submitted after that point are considered null and void. Please pay attention to time zones, especially for European cards. - Same goes if you edit a post with picks in it after the main card starts. - If you wish to change your picks before the main card starts, make a separate post in the thread and I'll update the Form for you. - Points for each match are scored as follows - 3 points for picking the winner correctly - If you picked the correct winner, 1 bonus point for calling the round the fight finished - If you picked the correct winner, 1 bonus point for calling the method of finish (KO or Sub or Decision) - A fight that end in decision is not considered ending in a round  If you pick a fight right, you get 3 points! If you get it wrong, no points! Pick the round, get another point! Pick the finish and you get another! Five Points if you get all of em! If there's a tie breaker for 1st, then I'll assign a card for the two people to make their picks for as a sort of "Championship." Typically this will be a Bellator card and not a UFC card but with the coronavirus causing issues we will have to figure it out from here. Dirt Road Junglist, rest his guts, & forceholy all have that but apparently because they didn't do picks. You also have it but did do picks and somehow aren't getting attributed the points. I'll fix the points totals to reflect your points from 252 and update the post.

Heh...so it appears I forgot to ever update this for months. UFC 255 Results  Totals after UFC 255  UFC 256 Results  Totals after UFC 256  the final event of Season 29 will be UFC 258 which will be set up by Brut & then Season 30 will begin with them hopefully doing all the work since I've been bad and lazy as of late.

Season 29 has come to an end and this final event resulted in some very tight margins for error in our picks. Heading into the event CommonShore was in the lead by 4 points over 2nd place's Fentry, who in turn was 1 point ahead of 3rd place's Thrilled 2B Here, with Screama just 1 point off in 4th place. The fights were pretty good actually! And the picks went as such with our final event helping shape who would emerge from Season 29 as our new GoonWeight GP Champion. UFC 258 Results  This means that the final scores were as such: Goonweight GP Season 29 Final Scores  Fentry took the championship with just 1 point difference over second place, and 3rd place being only 1 point behind that. Check the main spreadsheet linked in the OP to see how those points worked out etc. over the season. This has to be the closest finish in the four or five seasons I've ran the GP over the past year or so. With that, Fentry is our new GP champion and as such will be added to the hallowed halls of Posting Superstardom. Congrats Season 30 will begin but under new management as hopefully Brut will take up that mantle. If not I'll try to find someone who can run it. Good work everyone!
