I've posted these in other threads but I love my bikes

My mountain bike of 11 years - a Vassago Jabberwocky. I've never had a mountain bike I love as much as this one and it is perfectly suited for my northern Virginia trails. I'm sad that my next bike will be a geared full suspension but I plan to keep the Jabberwocky forever.

one gear :hf:

I’ve been kicking around the idea of doing it from the Capitol in Denver. But yeah, not any time soon with the smoke. If anyone is trying to decide which of the normal routes to do, from Evergreen is a much better grade with better sight lines for bikes and cars.

Looks so good. Makes me want to get back on mine (moved further from the jumps a couple of years ago and just haven’t been riding it). Guessing from the brake position and the parts that you’re in the UK, have you been able to ride it yet?

Yeah I'm curious how belt drives handle mud and debris relative to chains. I think they're generally touted as being better at that?

The newer Gates belts with the center track are better. The older ones would jump when drivetrains got muddy, saw it a few times in cyclocross races. “Newer” … I guess they’ve had it for a while now. I’m a fossil.

How was riding that road? I didn’t have a bike with me when we went this spring, but the traffic didn’t seem bad at all.

Lookout is my go-to.

If you haven't done it yet, Squaw Pass Rd from Bergen Park is fantastic. Was up there last week and there's some decent color. It's a 14.7 mile climb, 3300 ft, 4.2% grade. So, long and mellow. Some great views up near the top.

Second, I love this climb for all the reasons stated. It’s a great way to do Evans when the road is clear too.
