Bike commuting rocks. On days when I'm forced to get the train I find I really don't enjoy it and miss my bike. Started 3.5 years ago and would recommend it to anyone!

Admittedly I've grown up on a country where helmets are mandatory, but it absolutely blows my mind that someone would voluntarily ride any significant distance without one. I also have no idea why they're seen as such a barrier to people taking up cycling. It's not like they're difficult to use or very expensive. I do see people riding around here (usually on those rented ebikes) without helmets semi-regularly so I assume the laws aren't enforced very hard, but the injury risk just doesn't seem worth the very mild inconvenience of having a helmet.
