Also lol at you dorks thinking any of those wages in that tweet are actually accurate since Premier League clubs don't release wages like American sports.

How is Bournemouth's wage bill so high when their players are 40% garbage signings for £15 - £20 million that couldn't hack it in other PL clubs and 60% journeymen who came up with them from Championship and below?

Even their goodish players shouldn't demand that high wages besides maybe Brooks since he's young and was lighting things up before signing a new contract (then got injured for the entire season lol)

I'm shaking my head at the suggestion that £15-20m isn't big (big) money.

For people that actually watch the championship. What sort of level is ollie watkins?

He was a bit average as an attacking midfielder in previous seasons but has had a Michu-like emergence playing as a 9 after they lost Maupay. Scored a lot of goals but when you watch them there's a lot of extremely Championship defending happening, plenty of tap-ins from 5 yards with no defender within a mile. Benrahma's been their key danger man, Watkins just scores the goals.

Good enough to step up and try his hand in the PL, but he's no obvious superstar bargain at £18m. He's Brewster but bigger, stronger, faster and far more useful in build up play. Also extremely dirty which Championship refs ignore.

Swansea have signed Korey Smith, a guy Bristol City thought was too crocked to give a new contract to.

You don't solve "homegrown quota issues" by signing a poo poo backup keeper who will never play. Might as well register a kid from the academy for that job. Or leave the spot blank.

He was good in his first season with us, too, but then defenders twigged all they have to do is show him outside and he's completely powerless. Seriously there's a load of clips of him doing rabonas because he is the most right-footed player to have ever played on the left wing (and yet somehow he looks even more useless in the centre or on the right). I wonder if anyone collects stats on "Just runs straight into a fullback" because I'm certain he'd be a world leader in that at least.

Is he related to Wayne Routledge?

He's a good Championship player. The standard of "midtable PL" sides is pretty high these days, it's not a place for players who couldn't hack it at a big club to thrive.
