I'm gonna go ahead and call Derek Carr to the Cowboys next season if we get enough 2020 games for him to get benched for Mariota.

How many teams could the opt-outs beat if they made their own team?

Nick Foles himself did not opt-out, but his big dick did.

The QB is only a distraction in terms of Establishing The Run unless you have a rushing quarterback like Lamar Jackson or Ryan Fitzpatrick.

He was 2/3 as a starter when he was on the Titans, and hilariously all three of his starts were against different AFC South teams. I remember he got injured against the Jags and thus the Titans had to send out an already-injured Mariota to secure a 9-6 victory. And it wasn't even a Thursday Night game!

King Hong Kong posted:Derek Carr definitely not looking good from a team morale perspective. The question is whether the season lasts long enough for him to get benched for Mariota, because otherwise that's definitely happening.

It's amazing how many coaches work with Belicheck and think, "Wow, he wins so much because he's such a hard-rear end!" while ignoring the whole "actually gets his players' respect" and "actually talented at game plans" and "actually cheats" parts. I'd be interested to see more former Belicheck players enter coaching, Vrabel's had some oddball moments but he also makes some ballsy decisions and hasn't pissed his team off, which is a step up from most Belicheck assistants.

I'm fine with Siemian, he's not starter-quality but he's probably one of the better back-up options available, especially considering our other options aren't looking that good. I mean, we've had Cassel and Gabbert backing up Mariota, I'll gladly take Siemian.

Imagine having Mike Evans and Chris Godwin as your weapons and still throwing 30 Interceptions in a season. If Brady is still even half as good as he was, and IF we get a full season that Bucs offense should be a joy to watch.

Lifespan posted:Earl Thomas, part of a beloved Super Bowl championship team and was arguably the best at his position a couple years ago, yet you wouldn't find many Seahawks fans willing to bring him back at the minimum. I guess now he gets to make his dream a reality, to ruin the Cowboy's locker room. A dream for which I wish him the utmost success.

Not a coach, but if you ignore plays with career-ending injuries, I can think of a certain quarterback whose entire career changed with one play. To be fair to Nagy, the kicker is going to be the team's best offensive weapon regardless of how bad they are.
