quote:As one source explained it to PFT, teams are concerned that some players who think they won’t make the team are choosing to opt out and to take the six-figure stipend. While players apparently would owe the money back to the teams if they fail to make the roster in 2021, no team wants to have to chase a former player around next year in an effort to retrieve $150,000 or $350,000. weird differentiation there.

incredibly awful but it was probably going to happen: all *-reference sites are moving to a subscription for stats searching: https://www.sports-reference.com/blog/2020/05/play-index-tools-are-moving-to-stathead-com/ football still works but basketball is gone. the top 10 results for your search is replaced with an ad to buy their subscription

Skwirl posted:No he's actually right, everyone who in normal circumstances would be playing college ball on a scholarship should be given the opportunity to sit out the season and collect a $150,000 to $300,000 check and not lose scholarship eligibility for the 2021-2022 school year. you mean a cash advance lol

Knees are something you can very obviously gently caress up though, and there's a difference in tackling form between trying to willis mcgahee guys and driving your pads thru their thighs

current overthecap numbers look accurate with the assumption that the ravens are able to void everything: https://web.archive.org/web/20200113212736/https://overthecap.com/player/earl-thomas/1540/ versus https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/baltimore-ravens/ e: and since it tripped me up i'll mention it here: and he's a post-june 1 cut. hifi fucked around with this message at 06:06 on Aug 25, 2020 |

Man there's like a whole generation of bitter bargain contracts to safeties... The cards secondary still sorta sucks on paper... maybe dre kirkpatrick or bw webb can give us that antonio cromartie energy. baker did a lot of cleaning up on blown tackles/coverages and it's hard to draw value from that... but he was good at doing that.

Power of Pecota posted:Wait, is this Tampa team the best roster Arians has ever had as a head coach? Somehow that didn't click until now Idk, they had a year of legitimate MVP threat carson palmer and then he got hurt. it's hard comparing a what-if team with a what-is-going-to-be.
