Also, from reading a bit about their diet and fitness routines, I get the impression they have to really force themselves to eat enough calories. It sounded like a grind that never got easier, and a lot of guys seemed to hate it. I have to imagine many feel relieved to stop, and a fair bit of the necessary weight loss would happen pretty quickly once they just revert to eating at a comfortable level. That's not to disagree that any dramatic transformation takes a ton of motivation though!

Yeah but if one player catches it after a test or there's a false-negative, especially a lineman, the entire line for both teams is going to have it by the end of the game and there's not really a way to prevent that.

Someone mentioned something many, many pages ago that stuck with me: Sure the first few weeks should be be ok, but what happens when your team is 1-5 and you're flying into NYC, LA or Vegas? Are you going to really care about quarantine when your team sucks and you have a chance to go out and party?
