my sympathies to those of my fellow uterus-havers/ladies whose wombs are currently undergoing their monthly remodeling (like mine) I’ve never been very happy with this monthly phenomenon, even as I recognize that its occurrence in my own body is generally benign, for the most part (that is, barring the time or two per year I end up with particularly vicious cramps) Perhaps oddly, I found that switching to the cup made my sometime bad cramps slightly less awful, and my more typical cramps close to nonexistent. say, does anyone else get slightly tight/achy lower back muscles at this time of the month? At the moment I have a mild twinge there, but only on my left side

my body faked me out the last time I posted itt I had the single spot and then days of gently caress-all until the wee hours of this morning. Not that I’m complaining about more time spent not oozing and cramping, but I haven’t been trolled by my cycle like that since I was an awkward adolescent at church camp. (If any God exists, may it bless and keep the counselors who figured out my plight and slipped me some pads to get through the rest of that week. That’s doing the Lord’s work, imho.) ah, well. I got peanut butter chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodles, part of a vape cartridge, and a cat in my lap; I got this SatansOnion fucked around with this message at 22:13 on Aug 12, 2020 |

I’m pretty fortunate in that my gp’s a lady, and listens to me reasonably well; nowadays my mother politely insists on her doctors also being ladies, whenever it’s feasible. She said it feels less awkward to convey her older-lady issues to a lady than to a dude, who’s likelier than not to be younger than she is, and I can’t find fault with that logic myself. Goodness knows she’s suffered enough frustration in dealing with medical specialists (like surgeons) who were dudes and also rude, arrogant, negligent, judgmental bellends, both in her parents’ final years (she was their caregiver) and in dealing with her own health issues (caregiving is demanding work, as I’m sure you’re all aware) on the bright side, from what she’s told me about them, her last two therapists were pretty great older guys whose counsel helped her out quite a bit e: which reminds me that I should probably have brought up renewing my prescription for the ring at my last checkup, but the monthly release of the bloodgates is still fairly benign as is, and between the virus and the everything else I don’t really expect to be putting it to use for its primary purpose anytime soon, so I’m not inclined to rush out for it SatansOnion fucked around with this message at 00:08 on Aug 22, 2020 |

my typical blood inundation is a pretty tame event, but this one is being downright unpleasant, at least by my own standards. Yesterday it was an evening of cramps and strong bowel movement, all of which made me feel like my insides were being chewed on from within; and today I’ve actually been feeling a bit of nausea, which almost never happens and which I distinctly do not appreciate dammit on the bright side, these more intense cycles only happen a couple of times a year, and iirc they’re a bit shorter at times like this I find Let’s Plays of horror games oddly soothing

blood gates opened for me around yesterday afternoon. I do hope that’s not some kind of omen bright side, though, this one’s a fair bit less crampy already

I hope all of my fellow womb-possessors find improvement in their health and happiness, and everyone itt who’s had to brave the hell realm of the United States health care system has my sympathies and condolences meanwhile, I’m crampy and cranky and my sleep cycle’s all wonky so I’m pouting beneath a big warm blanket because it’s cold out, waaaah. a glass of cold-brewed coffee helps keep me from falling asleep for a good chunk of the day, though

mine always seem to start just a little while before I wake up, as though to make absolutely sure I awake to as many unpleasant surprises and sensations as it can arrange. really keeps me on my toes, I guess that said, the whole business clocks in at roughly 72-96 hours tops, which I appreciate greatly
